Executive Order 14067 | How Does Programmable Money (CBDCs) Track Your Movements, Track Your Carbon Footprint & Limit Your Freedom?
On March 9, 2022, President Biden signed Executive Order 14067, which allows for legal government surveillance of all U.S. citizens and total control over their bank accounts and purchases. This authoritarian control over money is already implemented in China, where the government is already able to program what its citizens can and cannot spend their money on. Trials of programmable central bank currencies are already underway in countries like Sweden, South Africa, and Canada. If a person goes over their individual carbon limit, they would simply get charged for doing so. As their entire carbon usage would be tracked by a government CBDC, there would be no way to hide how much carbon you’ve used.
